福原まり (Mari Fukuhara) is a dark classical composer and pianist born in Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from the Toho Music University and started her music career in the 1980s, as a member of Shi-Shonen and Real Fish. In 1997 Mari Fukuhara released her debut solo album Octave. In 1999 she wrote soundtrack for the movie 無問題 (Moumantai). Besides, she has written the music for several movies and TV commercials and singers. In 2005 she started her series of piano solo live concerts. She returned in 2007 with a new album titled pieta, which was followed by the soundtrack album for the movie パーマネント野ばら (2010). Her most recent album is Karakuri (2012).
