Zhao Wei / Vicky Zhao / 趙薇 comes from Anhui province from China. She graduated from Beijing Film Academy with a Bachelor's Degree in 2000. Now she is studying to be a director in Beijing Film Academy. Vicky is famous for her excellent acting as Xiaoyanzi(means little swallow) in Huan Zhu Ge Ge (The Returning Princess). In 1999, when The Returning Princess appeared on the screen, it became the hottest TV shows in mainland China, and Vicky Zhao is remembered as playing the outgoing, brave, pure and funny Little Swallow. Her first album was also published in 1999, it was the soundtracks for The Returning Princess. Since then, Vicky Zhao has become one of the biggest movie star in mainland China. She is the first Chinese movie star who is known internationally in Modern Chinese Television industry. She has been rewarded as the most popular female singer for her new MV Shang Guan Yan and Me(Shang Guan Yan is a female character in a Chinese novel).
