김연아


김연아 (Kim Yu-Na) is a South Korean figure skater, commercial actress, model, and singer born September 5, 1990 now living in Los Angeles, California. She is the 2010 Olympic champion and aside from her career in sports, she has had success in the music industry. After first singing live at a 2008 ice show, companies noticed her talent and began asking her to sing for television commercials and advertisements. Yu-Na is one of the most respected and well-known celebrities in all of South Korea, and has been voted top athlete and top model of the country numerous times as well as being named to TIME's 100 Most Influential People of the Year. Some of her most recent endeavors include singing the official South Korean football team song for the 2010 World Cup along with Lee Seung-gi called Smile Boy. She also collaborated with the Korean boy band called Big Bang for the song Shouts of Reds also in support of the Korean football team. In December 2010, she collaborated with two other Korean pop artists, Sistar and the Electroboyz, for a single called Super Girl, the first commercially released song where Yu-Na is listed as the main artist and the others are featured. Despite her active presence on the Korean pop scene, Yu-Na has insisted that she currently remains in top competitive shape for figure skating. Read more on Last.fm.
