Kim Hyo-jin (stage name: JeA; Hangul: 제아; born September 18, 1981 in Seoul, South Korea) is a South Korean pop singer, songwriter, and leader of the popular girl group Brown Eyed Girls that debuted in 2006. She made her debut as a solo artist in January of 2013 with the single, Geudaega Jamdeun Sai (그대가 잠든 사이). Before her debut in Brown Eyed Girls, JeA, then know simply by her name Kim Hyo-jin was a member of the OST group 3point and had previously been singing OSTs for TV dramas such as Escape from Unemployment, The Bodyguard, Prince's First Love, Lovers in Paris and Tree of Heaven. JeA is the one responsible for the creation of Brown Eyed Girls and was actively involved in the selection of the other members besides herself. The four members - JeA, Narsha, Ga In and Miryo - performed several small shows under the name Crescendo before officially debuting as Brown Eyed Girls in 2006. JeA's position in the group is as leader. JeA released her first solo album, Just JeA in 2013. She is the last of the members of Brown Eyed Girls to release a solo album. Read more on Last.fm.
