Moss


There are at least twelve artists called Moss. 1. Moss is an indie rock band based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, fronted by Marien Dorleijn. They make their own blend of rhythmic indie rock with vocal harmonies (apparently influenced by Fleet Foxes, at least for a while), although their later work shifted towards psychedelia. Moss released six full-length studio albums thus far: The Long Way Back (2007), Never Be Scared / Don't Be A Hero (2009), Ornaments (2012), We Both Know The Rest Is Noise (2014), Strike (2017) and HX (2022). 2. Active from 2001 to 2015, Moss was an occult, three-piece doom metal band from Southampton, United Kingdom, fronted by vocalist Olly Pearson. Signed to Rise Above Records (Europe) and Metal Blade (U.S./Canada), they released three full length studio albums, a live album and numerous EPs, split recordings and demo tapes. 3. The band is known in China as "苔藓". "Moss" is a direct translation of "苔藓". However, in late 2009, they officially adopted "Thallus" as the English name. 4. Moss is an electronic musician producing downtempo/nu-jazz. 5. Moss is a progressive trance producer releasing on vinyl titled Mossaic. 6. Moss is an artist whom has remixed various IDM/minimal/ambient tracks. 7. Moss is Ngati Tuwharetoa whom has done various dub/downtempo songs. 8.
