Dalit$o is a Zambian Hip-Hop and R&B artist. He started rapping and writing poetry in 2006 and in the same year went on to do his first song with his friend Quincy titled 'Sweet Lady'. Thereafter Dalit$o began taking his music career seriously, taking him back to the drawing board, where he decided to focus more on music production. But his heart was always where the mic was and later he would meet C.R.I.$.I.$. aka Mr. Swagger (one of Zambia's top Hip-Hop artists), who was more than just an inspiration to him. The friendship eventually resulted in Dalit$o being appointed as Vice-President to Crisis' label 'Diamond Chain'. Dalit$o furthermore went on to meet fellow rappers like Nick Pro, Klappa Heiz, D-Roots, Profyle and many more. Currently Dalit$o is working on his first mixtape 'DiamondShip' - the title expressing a combination of friendship and love for your family, friends and everyone around you. So far he has released songs such as Always (available in iTunes and many online music stores and services) and My Mother which have received considerable airplay in Zambia. Love is one of the themes that Dalit$o explores most in his music. About his music he says, my lyrics tell a story, and they come from what I see around me and what happens around me, and I use these words to reach out to people who can see exactly what I see, and who feel exactly what I feel.
