Born in Canton, OH as Travis L. Carter II in a very musical family, T~Rev was instantly groomed for entertainment, entrepreneurship, and even spiritual repute! Unfortunately at the age of ten in Richmond, CA, T~Rev's mother was murdered in their home as he and his brothers slept through the malevolent act. He then went to live with his dad in a rough East Oakland, CA neighborhood. He watched painfully and shamefully as his dad turned to crack and his elder brother resorted to drug-hustling. That lifestyle was tempting to him as well because of the privation they endured. However, one day in the midst of the mess T~Rev had an epiphany. As he observed all the disarray that sought to impede him, he somehow knew he was destined to overcome it and impact the world.   T~Rev soon moved back to Ohio and started a music group with his best friend and brothers in Jr. High. It seemed like destiny. Within months they were winning every contest, opening for major acts, producing and promoting their own shows, and they ended up as choreographers and background dancers for the late Gerald Levert as well as other national acts. T~Rev is a seasoned entertainer. He has had major recording deals and offers while with his group. They were produced by the highly acclaimed Sturken/Rogers tandem (they found and produced Rihanna). They were even taken under the wing of Smokey Robinson until T~Rev's father died untimely. The group soon dismantled due to irreconcilable differences and...
