鬱P

Utsu-P (鬱P, lit. Depression-P, born December 1, 1990) is a Japanese musician, producer, and bassist, best known for his work in the Vocaloid music scene, particularly within the metal genre. He is recognized for using Vocaloid software to produce aggressive vocal styles, such as shouts and screams, typically achieved through filters and effects. His music often features heavy basslines and complex, introspective melancholic lyrics. Utsu-P began playing bass guitar at age 13 and formed a hardcore band at 15. His early works, including "stuPid people" and "Crimson of Sadness," helped shape his signature approach to Vocaloid metal. Over time, he expanded his use of different Vocaloid voicebanks, such as Rin, GUMI, and flower. In 2009, Utsu-P released his first EP, DOLL, followed by his debut album DIARRHEA, which featured the notable track "Corpse Attack!!". His second album, TRAUMATIC (2010), is considered a significant release in the Vocaloid metal genre, featuring tracks like "Vermin" and "Heart Sutra Hardcore." By 2013, Utsu-P had gained wider recognition with the release of Warufuzake, his first major-label album, recorded with live instrumentation. Throughout the 2010s, Utsu-P collaborated with various artists, including Pinocchio-P (ピノキオピー) and Sekihan (赤飯), and participated in compilation albums such as VOCALOUD 01 - Breaking of the Emotion.
