Whisk?!


WHISK?! started as an average punk band in the middle of 2003 and is by now and four line-up changes later, the by far most explosive cocktail of modern rock music, aggression and melody, present in today’s music scene. Free of all the restrictions of a certain genre the band has been able to create a unique style, only bound to fulfill their own ideas of tangent and stirring songwriting. In this process punk rock, metal and progressive are merged into a product free from restraint. Rules are meant to be broken – Whisk?! break all the worn out song structures down into their smallest pieces to set them back together to shape their own pattern. Over and over again the listener is tricked into another unexpected turn, recorded to take him away. Obviously a strong focus is centered on the lyrics. These are, like the musical style of the band, mostly dark- natured, but never pessimistic nor resigning. In fact they describe, how every single one of us is able to stand up to the tallest, learn from his mistakes and grow to be – which is also an important maxim of the band philosophy. Whether furiously screamed or melodically harmonizing with the music, the lyrics are honest and seizable, without hiding their true intention. Whisk?! is fueled by the blood and guts of members and fans and is thankful for everybody, who is willing to open up for their output.
