Yansımalar

Yansımalar (Reflections) is a Turkish band. In 1980, Birol Yayla (guitar and tanbur) and Aziz Şenol Filiz (ney) met at the conservatoire. In 1983, they joined the Turkish music chorus, and in 1990, they formed Yansımalar. The duo released two albums: Yansımalar (1991) and Bâb-ı esrar (1995). They were then joined by Engin Gürkey on percussion and Alper Berksu on keyboards, and released three more albums: Serzenis (2000), Vuslat (2001), and Pervane (2004). They contributed music (along with Baba Zula) to the soundtrack for Derviş Zaim's first film, Tabutta Rövaşata (1996), as well as for the 2002 television documentary Altın Kanatlar, the 2002 film Ferhat'la Şirin, the 2003 television miniseries Esir Şehrin İnsanları, and the 2007 film The Last Ottoman: Yandim Ali. They were regular guests on music shows on BRT in 1999-2000 and on TRT in 2002-2003. Read more on Last.fm.
