ルサンチマン (RUSANTI-MAN, from French "ressentiment") is a Japanese rock band formed in June 2018. Members: Vocals & Guitar: 北 (Kita) Guitar: クーラーNAKANO (Cooler NAKANO) Bass: 清水 (Shimizu) Drums: もぎ (Mogi) History: The band was established by members who were part of the light music club at Tokyo Metropolitan Musashigaoka High School, where they were encouraged to create original music due to restrictions on cover songs. Their name, "Rusanti-man," is a play on the French term "ressentiment," reflecting their introspective and emotionally charged style. RUSANTI-MAN first gained attention in 2019 when they won the RO JACK competition for the ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL, earning them a spot at the festival and helping to establish their presence in the national rock scene. The following year, they released their first demo EP, 風穴あける (Fūketsu Ageru), which introduced their early sound. In 2021, the band released their debut mini-album memento, along with singles such as "使えない頭、回して" (Tsukaenai Atama, Mawashite) and "ギターを弾け拙いコードで" (Guitar wo Hike Tsutanai Chord de), further solidifying their reputation.
