Ахат


Ахат is a legendary Bulgarian rock band. It was founded in 1986 by six talented musicians from the Sofia Music Academy and CTU. In 1987, Daniel Rizov replaced Ivailo on bass guitar and thus the band was finally formed. The first recorded live gig of AHAT was on December 22, 1986. After that the the band gained popularity and became one of the most popular Bulgarian rock bands. In 1988, Ahat recorded its top hit Chernata ovtza (Black sheep) which became a milestone in the Bulgarian rock history. After the end of the communist regime in 1990, the band broke up, but reunited in 2000 to reclaim the Bulgarian rock scene.
