トルネード竜巻


Tornado Tatsumaki (トルネード竜巻) was a Japanese band formed by students of Keio University in Tokyo in 1998. The members were Makiko Naka (名嘉真祈子, born February 1, 1980; vocals), Jun'ichi Soga (曽我淳一, born May 23, 1976; keyboards), Daisuke Futaki (二木大介, born January 5, 1978; guitars), and Ryûsuke Kakizawa (柿澤龍介, born July 21, 1976; drums/percussion). They combined various musical styles such as shoegaze, complex rhythms, jazzy bassline and electronic keyboard into high-quality pop music. They released their first two mini-albums, One night robot kicks the rock and Analogman fill in the blanks on the independent record label colla disc. In 2004, they signed with Speedstar Records, released 2 singles ブレイド (Blade), 恋にことば (Koi ni Kotoba), an album titled アラートボックス (Alertbox), and an EP Fairview. A year later, they released 2 singles パークサイドは夢の中 (Parkside wa Yume no Naka), 言葉のすきま (Kotoba no Sukima), and album ふれるときこえ (Fureru to Kikoe). On February 7, 2009, Tornado Tatsumaki announced they were disbanding on their official website, but played a show together for their indies record label in 2009.
