宍戸留美

Rumi Shishido (宍戸留美) is a seiyuu, independent recording artist, cameraman, illustrator, media personality and a former J-pop singer from Hiroshima, Japan. She is born on 6 November 1973, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Rumi released her first single on 21 May 1990. Her final release as a J-pop artist was on 22 April 1996. Despite this, Shishido's vocals remain popular for their bright yet mature nature. Neil Strauss of The New York Times compared her ripe, melodic voice from her first indies album, Set Me Free, to Debbie Gibson and Liz Phair. Since meeting guitarist 鴫原浩平 (Kohei Shigihara), most of Shishido's music has been composed by him.
