小霞


Xiao Xia (小霞, born March 23, 1968 in Chongqing, China) is an alter ego of Chinese singer Huang Xiaoxia (黄晓霞). Since debuting in 1986, she has released three albums under the stage name Huang Qishan (黄绮珊). Although she did not achieve much success, she was referred to as the "No. 1 female voice in Asia" by some Chinese media. In 2013, she joined the singing competition television program "I Am a Singer" and gained recognition throughout China due to her vocal ability and ability to reach extremely high notes. In 2015, she started using a new stage name Xiao Xia (derived from her real name) to promote her fourth and eponymous studio album "Xiao Xia" (小霞), as the first chapter of the "Xiao Xia Trilogy" project. In 2021 and 2023, she released the other two chapters of the project respectively. The whole project has generally met with positive reviews from critics, while the media and the market praised her exquisite vocal skills and the cohesive production by Sedar Chin (秦四风).
