星羅 (Seira) is a Japanese fashion model and pop singer-songwriter managed by Newcome. Seira was born on 1989 May 4th, in Tokyo. She learned to play a guitar from junior high school then later started her music production during that time. From 2007, Seira began doing live performances activity. Her unique and to be soft singing at the live performances became an attention and in spite even before the debutting, “ap bank fes '08”. In 2007, she was chosen by PS Company from an audition of 1000 participants to be their exclusive model. Seira debuted as a model in the same year under her real name, Nishikawa Seira (西川星羅). In October 2008, she released her debut independent single He's in love with her., earlier in September 2008, “He's in love with her.” is chosen as iTunes this week and it managed to gather interests. In November 2008, her debut indie mini album, コンパス (Compass) was released. In 2009 she was featured in “Suntory Limited” for her first CM performance. Same year, Seira signed with DefSTAR RECORDS and made her major debut with the single 数字と恋 (Suuji to Koi). Seira's live activity is done energetically and she even participated to perform for ROCK IN JAPAN FES.2009.
