椛田早紀


Saki Kabata (椛田早紀, Kabata Saki, born on December 22, 1981 in Beppu, Oita prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese singer and designer. After graduating from a private girl school of arts, majoring in Japanese litterature, she entered the TV program ASAYAN and made it to the 16 last finalists in the audition. In 2001, she got a contract along with three other finalists with the record company For Life Records and they formed the band CLOVER together, soon releasing the song あたりまえのこと (Atari mo e no Koto). On December 4, 2002, Kabata released the song Fish as a solo artist, and on March 18, 2004, she provided vocals for the song LONELY ROLLING STAR on the 塊魂 (Katamari Damacy) soundtrack. On February 1st, 2005, she joined the indie band MILK FUDGE. On February 14, 2005, it was stated that MILK FUDGE, whom Kabata had barely started working with, was due to disband in December 23 of the same year. In 2007, she formed tokage with 藤枝エイリ (Eiri Fujieda), from her former band CLOVER, and they're releasing indie mini-albums and performing lives around Tokyo since then. On December 20, 2009, she launched her own clothing brand, CandyLoose. Clothing and design shop GAIN in Shibuya is selling her products since December 23, 2009. Read more on Last.fm.
