筋肉少女帯

筋肉少女帯 (Kinniku Shōjo Tai, a.k.a. King-Show) is a Japanese rock band formed in 1982. Their early indie material is notable for its experimental tendencies and prominent piano, but they later moved in more of a heavy metal direction. In 1979 when vocalist Kenji Ōtsuki (大槻ケンヂ) and bassist Yūichirō Uchida (内田雄一郎) were Junior High School students, they started a band called Dotechins (ドテチンズ; the name came from Ōtsuki's nickname at school), and this band was a precursor of Kinniku Shōjo Tai. In February 1982, after they had disbanded Dotechins and became high school students, they started a new band, Kinniku Shōnen Shōjo Tai. On 6th April the same year, they debuted in the independent music scene and changed the band name to Kinniku Shōjo Tai. In March 1986, the original keyboardist Satoshi Mishiba (三柴理), aka Eddy, joined and the band gained popularity. Drummer Akira Ōta (太田明) joined in 1988 and the same year major debut Buddha L (仏陀L) was released. The next year Mishiba and guitarist Atsushi Yokozeki (横関敦) left and were replaced by two new guitarists, Fumihiko Kitsutaka (橘高文彦) and Toshiaki Honjō (本城聡章), making them have more of a metal/hard rock sound. With these members they became hugely popular. They were doing fine until July 1998, when drummer Akira Ōta left the band. After a concert in 1999, guitarist Fumihiko Kitsutaka and vocalist Kenji Ōtsuki also left, and the band broke up. Af...
