Carris Tsai (previously known as Kerris Tsai) is a Taiwanese-Hokkien pop singer born in 21st April 1967. She debuted in 1979 as a child singer and went famous by the late 1980s with multiple classics like 什麼樂 (Lottery Joy) and 金包銀 (Silver Wrapped in Gold) which were written by her then producer, 蔡振南 (Chen-nan Tsai), with whom she enterred a relationship with. Following the breakup, she left the industry for several years before coming back in 1994, joining and leaving multiple labels like Kolin, Rock, E-VOICE, Water Music and Hao Chi Music, before going indie in 2022, with new albums being distributed by Warner Music Taiwan. She received her first Golden Melody Awards nomination for Best Taiwanese Female Singer with the album 離水的魚 (Fish Out of the Water). Read more on Last.fm.
