Sergio Garcia (born January 24, 2006), known professionally as 2slimey, is a recording artist from Oklahoma City. 2slimey is known for his unique style of avant-rap cadences, with heavily distorted instrumentals and unique mixing. Through an interview with ShotbyJandJ, 2slimey explained how he got his stage name, stating: "I used to have a big friend group and shit, I just gotta get slimey, you feel me, and cut niggas off. Too many fake niggas." Growing up in Oklahoma City, 2slimey lived a fairly normal life, choosing to stay away from gang activities going on in the city. He originally wanted to be a Basketball player, but chose to quit due to him seeing other players being taller and more professional than him. Inspired by A$AP Rocky, 2slimey started rapping back in 2016 finding his sound, originally going for the Pro Era boom-bap direction, but took a break from music in 2019 to 2020 and has since regretted taking a break from music. He would then return to releasing music in 2021 after he had seen Yeat gain attention through the industry, going as far as to putting his own money into his own music.
