Adicta

Argentinian Synthpop / Alternative Rock band, formed by Adrián Toto Nievas, Rudie Martinez and Fabio Rey in 1999. Their first album, Shh (2000), was accepted by the public and the critics. Then, they edited an EP, called Poco a Poco. They started growing and in 2002 came out with Miedo, and the hit, Tu Mal, with the group now becoming a duo of Toto and Rudie. In 2005, they released their next great album, called Dia de la Fiebre, with one new video Soy Animal, and a new lineup: Toto (Voice), Rudie Martinez (Keyboards), Sergio Sotomayor (Drums), Diego Rodriguez (Bass) and Julian Fraus (Guitar). In 2008, they released a double album called Cátedras, split in two chapters Cátedras:Capítulo I and Cátedras:Capítulo II. In 2009, they released their final studio album Adictism, which included new reworked versions of songs from their previous albums and saw their return to a more electronic and less rock-orientated sound. In 2010, they released the compilation Una Década to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Shh. Adicta disbanded in 2012. In May 2015, lead singer Adrián Toto Nievas was found dead. Read more on Last.fm.
