Almadrava


The sound of Almadrava is delicate and surreal, a mix of cool electronic sounds, warm acoustics, coated with the sensual voice of Patricia, the leader of the band. The best live mediterranean Chillout taking the unique flavour of Ibiza around the world. A lot has been happened since their debut album Northern Winds (Blanco y Negro) in 2001. Two more albums are on the market All you left us(Blanco y Negro 2005) and Positivity (Blanco y Negro 2008), and a fourth one now is beeing prepared. Their music has been included in more than 30 internacional compilation CD's such as Café del Mar, Hed Kandi-Winterchill or Chillout Sessions among others. The music of Almadrava can be found all over the globe. The head of the group forms Patricia Leidig. Patricia was born in Valencia (Spain) but when she was 3, her parents moved back to Germany. She started making music when she was 3 and half years old. At the age of 6 she entered the JOC-development-program of Yamaha for young talents in Germany, and within 10 years of seminars and intensive music-courses she got to participate in various Yamaha JOC-Concerts, especially in Japan in the year 1987 at the age of 11. Patricia recorded her first single When We Fly Away when she was 19, under the label of Mons Records.
