Altered:Carbon is a project created by Andy Paterson and Tam Ferrans who brought their love of angular melodies, irregular rhythms, ambient, industrial and and hip hop together to form this more “unified” guise, and borrowed the name from a novel by Richard Morgan. Their debut, “Altered:Carbon” was released on the Section 27 label in February 7th 2010. A new album titled “Hilander”, a collaboration featuring Kendall Washington from Spokane, USA was released on Section 27 on October 31st 2010 and also featured a “Hilander Instrumentals” portion containing new material and the instrumentals from the album. A new remix album “Altered:Carbon Reassembled” featuring fully reconstructed versions of the original self-titled album by label mates and friends was released on 25th July 2011 via the Section 27 label. They recorded a collaboration with Akila Da Hun titled Livin' and Learning available from their Bandcamp page, and also features the instrumental version. A collection of unreleased outtakes from their two previous albums is due for release late 2012 / early 2013 on Section 27, titled Questasian.
