Amokdrang


Amokdrang (german for "urge to run amok") is a german punk band formed in the year 2007 in Jena. They are playing fast punk rock combined with ska parts. The sound is fast and dominated by driving drum grooves, the aggressive Les Paul sound and interesting bass lines. The members of the band are Willi (vocals, guitar, bass until summer 2008), Pfeifer (guitar), Enni (bass, vocals, since summer 2008) and Jakob (drums). In autumn 2008 the band recorded their first demo record "Ungewaschen zum Arzt", which means "dirty to the doctors". In early 2009 they moved over to Jena city punkrock, a sub label of esquare records, which published their first live cd including music video and the first studio release amoksaufen statt komalaufen (play on words on "binge drinking instead of killing spree").
