Тwo brothers from Macedonia, Vasko Jordanov (29) and Zlatko Jordanov (23) cаme from the capital of Macedonia, Skopje with main occupation - since they were children, are playing and hand-making traditional folk instruments such as the shepherd’s flute, the bagpipe, the duduk and the flute. Since they developed a great affection for these instruments when they were very young, it was only natural for them to start making themselves. They started with getting all the right tools for their instruments best hand making. Their humble beginnings were in 2002. First they started making the easier instruments like the little duduk, and then they began handcrafting the flutes, the shepherd’s flutes and the bagpipes. They make the bagpipes of holly tree, and for the rest of these woodwind instruments they use ash wood. All the instruments are made in the old, traditional ways of their ancestors in order to maintain their original quality. By working with and playing on these historical instruments for many years they have gained an irreplaceable, unique knowledge about the traditional Macedonian folk music. The instruments that they make are of the highest quality, in many sizes and tuned in different keys, so that they can be used to play professionally and be accompanied by other classical instruments.
