Blissom


Blissom, a.k.a. Stephane Lefrancois, started his music career in the early 90's, playing drums with various ensembles in Paris, France, where he was born. After moving to Canada, he spent some time perfecting his recording engineering skills, and is now an accomplished producer, with songs played world - wide and being featured on labels such as Compost, Sony, or BBE. Blissom's love for everything percussive is obvious when listening to his tracks. So is his fascination with dense, complex, evolving synth textures, and...effect units! As a fervent supporter of the wall of sound concept, Blissom's creations lend themselves well to repeated listening, as new details and ear candy will creep out, dreamy and tortured textures weaving with layered percussion. Blissom's solo productions are not his only project. He has spent the past 16 years writing, producing, and playing music with Rise Ashen, another rising star on the Canadian Nu-jazz scene. Together, they have created truly stimulating, unique, and innovative electronic music, blending influences into a feast of emotions and vibes, which will not leave any listener indifferent. Their music has reached the corners of the globe, and has received numerous praise.
