Briard
Briard are widely credited as the first Finnish punk band to release a record. Their single I Really Hate Ya/I Want Ya Back was released in 1977. Original members include Pete Räkä Malmi, Ilkka Jan Vincent Hulkko, Antti Andy McCoy Hulkko (later of Hanoi Rocks) and Seppo Sidi Vainio; Jan Nasty Suicide Stenfors (later of Hanoi Rocks) plays guitar on some of their later recordings. Although Briard disbanded after their 1983 debut album, Miss World, Pete Malmi and Andy McCoy reunited in 1996 to record Briard Revisited with the help of Andy's wife Angela Nicoletti and the rhythm section of Helsinki-based goth-glam rockers,The 69 Eyes.
