Cinnamone

alternative pop music from Belgium Cinnamone started a few years ago as a band around Belgian singer-songwriter Ruben Hillewaere. Their first album The water thief (2009, Wild Boar Music) contains pop songs with polyphonic voices that remind us of the melodic folk of the 70s, some people even think of bands like Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Beatles or Simon & Garfunkel. However, in the arrangements there are also modern influences of Patrick Watson, Gravenhurst or Laura Veirs... Cinnamone is a pop band enriched with original instruments, primarily the cello, but also mandolin and glockenspiel, a brilliant mixture, home-made with passion (Delhasse). With their experience of the first album, Cinnamone is tracing a new road and confirms its alternative character, more powerful without denying its acoustic qualities. Currently, Cinnamone is playing in the finals of a prestigious Belgian competition, the Concours-Circuit. Read more on Last.fm.
