Dendron
DENDRON is one of Merv's (Eat Static) many ongoing side projects and was originally formed in 1996. It was mainly an excuse to concentrate a lot more on the Breakbeat side of dance music and to be able to feel free to write music that didn't have to fit into Eat Static's world. Before long, tracks began to surface, and a few ended up on various compilations. One of these albums was noticed by Blueroom records, and they quickly snapped up Dendron to make them an album.. The result was 'Supernatural Jazz', which takes you on a funk soaked journey from slow swampy Trip Hop, right through to Drum n Bass. Merv has only ever had one philosophy for Dendron and that's to make true music that comes from your soul.. so you will hear many familiar influences within 'Supernatural Jazz' but it also has a rawness and an honesty about it as well...Enjoy!
