Diskantti is an underground hip hop producer from Finland. A former member of the Tuusula-based super group Tippuva Tiede which broke up after a dispute over fellow band member Ideologisti's heavy cocaine use. Diskantti's music is heavily influenced by kung-fu films and movies in general, video games, orchestral music, 70's soul and drunken ramblings of his friends. Released his first solo internet-release called PRESS START EP in 2005. It was a compilation of hip hop remixes of classic video game music. Was briefly known for a song called The Äm-Irk Song of which Diskantti really doesn't like talking about. Right now Diskantti is working on several projects including another instrumental album and an hip hop opera with Ideologisti about his experiences during drug re-hab.
