Eliane is currently one of the hottest forces in the New York City Jazz, Brazilian and Latin scene. For the other singers of the same name, please see Eliane Elias or Eliane Mahfouz. A Swiss-born singer, guitarist, composer and lyricist, Eliane moved to New York in 1998 and graduated from the New School University for Jazz and Contemporary Music in 2000. her own original music and lyrics, is a groovy mix of all her influences and has been creating quite a buzz. Eliane performs in New York’s most famous clubs and lounges including The Blue Note, The Jazz Standard, Joe's Pub, The Knitting Factory, The Cutting Room, Live at Rose, Ace of Clubs, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Cornelia Street Cafe and Kush, either as a bandleader or as a featured artist. She also had steady appearances at some of the trendiest restaurants and bars in town, such as Esperanto, Sushi Samba, Bed, Megu, Barmache and many more. She and her band entertain numerous private and corporate parties for companies such as Time Warner Cable, Bvlgari, C.F. Bucherer, Conde Nast, the Rose d’Or television award, as well as for SwissTourism, the Swiss Society, and the Swiss Embassy and consulates. Read more on Last.fm.
