F.F.F.

1) F.F.F. is a French funk/rock band founded in 1987 near Paris by singer Marco Prince and bassist Nicolas “Niktus” Baby. They were joined by Yarol Poupaud (guitar), Krichou Montieux (drums), Félix (keyboard until 1996) and, later, Philippe Herpin (saxophone). The acronym FFF stands either for Fédération Française de Fonck (fonck being the contraction of funk and rock), French Funk Family, Free For Fever ... depending on the band's mood. In 1990, their live performance in the music festival “Les Transmusicales de Rennes” got them noticed. They recorded their first album “Blastculture” in 1991. Despite their name, the music of FFF sounds more like rock than funk, but they always claimed their biggest influence was George Clinton.
