Fattback
Fattback joined forces in a flooded St. Louis, Mo basement in in early 2005. Originally named Hot Lava, and briefly Basement Snake, Fattback formed as a reuniting of musicians and friends who had played together in one way or another several years previous. Fattback has created a sound that can go from roots rock, to synth-driven power pop, to honky-tonk, to funk and more. Rich harmonies, and often hilarious lyrics seal the deal for the St. Louis natives, who when asked to describe themselves, came up only with ...moose rock. St. Louis Sound magazine describes them as having ..clever lyrics and progressive turnarounds..rounded attack, polyphonic riffs..and blessedly tight rythymic runs. St. Louis band Fattback excels at performing under the influence and has yet to be a issued a citation for sucking. - Lawrence.com To put it simply... If a band could be a sandwhich....
