Paul Nash, AKA Gnashism was born and raised in the East End of London (Hackney to be precise), and it was in and around the Hackney Wick industrial estate that he first got a taste for hard techno,gabber and drum and bass that was played at the numerous illigal squat parties held in abandoned warehouses and traveller sites. The dark,nononsense music inspired him to learn the basics of sequencing, using Octamed on his trusted old Amiga 500, he learened the art of sampling, and even at the age of 17, was using very basic software to create his own unique blend. He has always been interested in a wide variety of musical styles, from alternative rock and punk, electro, jazz and hip-hop, ska reggae and dub, right through to modern day styles such as dubstep. all these things have led him to start again in music production after some years, under the name Gnashism. He is currently residing on the Isle of Wight, where he is raising a family, and making music in his spare time. His record label, C-Front Sounds is soon to be releasing his debut EP, Tubby Wobble, a blend of dub,reggae, dubstep and electronica.
