Grimms (1973–74) was an English pub rock and poetry group, originally formed as an extension of The Scaffold. The band name was an acronym formed by the initial letters of each member's surname: Gorman, John born 4 January 1936, in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England. Roberts, Andy born Andrew Roberts, 12 June 1946, in Harrow, Middlesex, England. Innes, Neil born Neil James Innes, 9 December 1944, in Danbury, Essex, England. McGear, Mike born Peter Michael McCartney, 7 January 1944, at Walton General Hospital, 107 Rice Lane, Walton, Liverpool, Lancashire, England (younger brother of Paul McCartney). McGough, Roger born Roger Joseph McGough, 9 November 1937, in Litherland, Liverpool, England. Stanshall, Vivian born Vivian Anthony Stanshall, 21 March 1943, at Radcliffe Maternity Home, Shillingford, Oxfordshire, England; died 5 March 1995, in Hill Field Park, near Alexander Palace, Muswell Hill, North London, England. There could be as many as another six additional members at a performance. Other performers included Adrian Henri, Brian Patten, George "Zoot" Money, Michael Giles, Kate Robbins, John Megginson, David Richards, Peter "Ollie" Halsall, Norman Smedles, Brian Jones, Ritchie Routledge, Valerie Movie, Gerry Conway, Pete Tatters and Timmy Donnell.
