Gavranar

Gavranar is a folk metal project from Bosnia and Herzegovina, created by Armin Odobašić in 2011. It's mostly influenced by thrash metal on one hand, and various folk music genres on the other (sevdalinka, kolo, medieval, renaissance, celtic etc.). Just as in listed genres, lead instruments such as recorder, accordion, and bagpipes are used in Gavranar's songs. Gavranar has released a 5 track demo EP called Where the Winds Are Clawed in November 2013. Lyrically, the album tells of man's relation to nature, to each other, and of the eternal war between good and evil - all portrayed through paganism. In July 2014, Varg Media Group released Gavranar's song Of the Woodland Maiden in their Pagan Metal / Folk Metal / Slavonic Metal compilation Iz Navy v Jav # 3.
