Here is a description and some reviews of Glockenspiel.. Glockenspiel started as the title for Adrian Dollemore’s cd-r collections of minature bedroom experiments using tapes, electronics and guitars through chains of effects who then progressed to playing with Steve D’Enton (old friend of the ’sHRiMP & ex-Quickspace sticksman) on drum kit - Steve’s “direct but tactile style driving straight through the x-axis of Adrian’s skyward guitar, as cymbals and hi-hats delicately ring and splash over his motorik anchor.” the duo have also recorded material with the group Dukes of Pouch (sadly unreleased), at the time a quintet also featuring Tony Bevan, John Edwards and Ashley Wales. Glockenspiel have self-released a cd of live jams, capturing the breadth and dynamic they display at their shows and now their new album has appeared through Krayon Recordings - a collection of pieces displaying the development Adrian’s compositions have undergone, “where glistening arpeggios rise and fall against gurgling analogue electronics, washes of processed cymbal and ethereal drone filigree.” 'Glockenspiel have been lurking around the Post Rock/Analogue Elecronics underground for some time now, but have made significant steps towards the mainstream with this deleriously beautiful E.P.
