Granyte


Brent Alan Bennett (born April 19, 1990) in Birmingham, AL), better known by his stage name Granyte, is an up-and-coming rapper, writer, producer, and promoter and CEO of Granyte Musik. In 2011, he signed a multi-label contract with Imperial Rekordz. In 2010 he released his first mixtape, Zettai Ryouiki. Since then he has released 2010's Visions, 2011's Out the GateS, 2011's Return of X3, and is currently working on 2011's The Defiance, his first LP, and the first CD he's made with the new label. Granyte is from Remlap, Alabama and was raised by his Mother and Adoptive Father. Granyte explained the start of his stage name was based on the first song he ever did. It was a remix of Fed Up, and the last two bars were Writing till I have the tighest flow on the planet/ Calling Breezy the rock, cause I'm the whitest known granite/ His mentor Major Sherard (Strange Wayz) started having the rest of the group call him Granite, because he didn't have a stage name at that point.
