I.F.K.


IFK (Insect Flying Killer) is by far one of the best known and most mature alternative groups in Russia. The group was formed in 1994 in Moscow. Initial composition: Paul Pate Filippenko - voice, Igor Chica Dee Malashkevich (part-time - keyboardist The Console) - voice, Max Beard Galstyan - guitars, Dmitry Vyborny - bass guitar, Vadim Bayrash - bass guitar Alexei Bakurkin - drums. The presence of two vocalists and two bass players become prominent feature of the group. Music represented a mix of heavy riffs, recitative in English and nervous rhythms in the spirit of Rage Against The Machine and Faith No More. Fame came after the first concert, thanks largely to the energetic and uncompromising image scenic Pate - frontman of the collective. Hide / Show In 1996 the band recorded their debut album Mosquito Man (by the time Chiku Dee was replaced by Maksim Cherokee Belogurov). Video for the song I live in Moscow, written in collaboration with a group of Va-Bank , received the prize at the International Festival video in France. In 1996-97, IFK speech opened the Moscow concerts of such giants of heavy music, like Motorhead, Rage Against The Machine, Clawfinger and Biohazard.
