A true standard for the piano-hardcore Techno era, Different Strokes joins together amazing samples, beats and synth lines. The synth pads on the beginning are taken from Pacific by 808 State and re-worked, but you can still figure out it was taken from there; the synthesizer lines goes from these atmospheric ones to the amazing piano melodies of Salsa House (1989) by Richie Rich, and also a fragment of the hoover synths from the Techno Anthem 'Second Phase - Mentasm' (1991) - both on the drop out of Different Strokes. The vocal samples are from 'Whatever Makes You Happy' (1990) by Marshall Jefferson & Ten City. Read more on Last.fm.
