There are multiple artists that perform under the name Koney: 1. Koney is the solo project of Konnor Ervin, who is perhaps best known as a member of the Kansas City-based indie pop band Shy Boys. The project evolved out of his former band The ACB's and marks Ervin's return to playing guitar and singing lead vocals after playing drums and singing backup vocals in Shy Boys. Though Koney is sometimes characterized as Ervin's solo project, it could also by described as a direct offshoot of Shy Boys, as he is joined in the studio and on stage by bandmates Kyle Rausch on drums, Collin Rausch on Bass, and Ross Brown on synthesizer. 2. KONEY is an European electronic musician. At the age of 17 KONEY discovers a passion for electronic music by hearing some tunes from oldschool videogames. This soon turned to be an obsession for techno and hardcore sound which lead him to start doing some stuff using a Commodore Amiga. The eccentricity of the computer chosen for composing was noted by an important Swiss label which in 1997 proposed him to release his first record under Zero Music Hard. Since that time to today he developed confidence with more gear and computer softwares but without ever giving up working on analog desks. Eventually this skill interested other producers that wanted him to record and mastering their music using his studio and experience.
