In today’s supersaturated music market, it’s far and few between that you literally stumble upon some good music. Recently though, I got recommended an amazing artist on a YouTube-generated suggestions list that opened my eyes to the idea of “a star being born.” Now on the radar: LG. New Orleans up-and-comer LG impresses with his powerful deliver and tight flow. The kid, surprisingly only 17 years old, is producing dope hip-hop tracks and directing chill music videos. While some have tried to make the (negative) comparison to Lil Bow Wow in his YouTube videos, there’s no denying that LG has a mature style delivering original soul. Just about the only similarity you can make between LG and Bow Wow is their youthful vigor and young talent. Be on the lookout, since I don’t think it will be long till this kid is signed. He claims, “I’m doing things to my records that no one’s doing, whether it’s in my age bracket or not. Everything from production to lyrics, I’m adding me to everything.” I don’t think that’s cockiness right there, just raw passion speaking from the heart. Read more on Last.fm.
