Lakeland


Lakeland was a post-hardcore band from Muskegon, Michigan, United States. A fast start and some great recordings launched them to the top of their local scene. They worked with Caleb Shomo to get some better than great recordings, and they used their musical talent and experience to make huge rifts in the West Michigan music scene. With unique dual vocals, shredding melodic guitar parts, Lakeland is a perfect mix of all the good stuff within the genre. The EP Exotica was released in 2010 along with the song Team Ashley Greene a little bit later. Later on the songs Cowboy By Choice and Dollhouse. The band recorded a full-length album in 2011 which had the working title American Rock n Roll Cowboy Pirate, between Nick Scott's studio in Grand Rapids and Poppa B's, and was planning to release it pretty soon in 2011 or 2012, but they were super unlucky. They lost all of the recordings when a hard disk crash happened. Approx 2 years of recording and 11 songs, all lost forever. All in all, Lakeland surely wrote passionate history when it comes to great sounding music within post-hardcore/metalcore wanting to make a melodic, yet heavy sound with high energy and lots of pass...
