1. Laveda's new album, 'A Place We Grew Up In', is highly anticipated, with the singles; 'F***', 'Surprise' and 'Clean' setting an impressive scene to an epic dreampop masterpiece. Founded by duo Ali Genevich (vocals/guitar) and Jake Brooks (vocals/guitar/synths), Laveda released their polished debut album ‘What Happens After’ in 2020. As complex as it was colourful, the LP saw the band compared to the likes of The Sundays and My Bloody Valentine as they attracted glowing praise across the US and beyond. 2. LaVeda is a singer/songwriter/poet, born in Miami, FL, has appeared on a multitude of tracks ranging from Soulful House,Trip-Hop, and R&B. With over 20 collaborations under her belt,(Tricky/Dana A.Byrd/Kimani Wilson/AD Cruz/Cafrodeep/Kenny Muhammad, this multi-talented artist has her own distinct vocal style. Laveda teamed up with Lilac Jeans, a producing duo from South Africa for their newest single “Hand and Glove”. LaVeda has taken the time out her busy schedule to chat with YOUnique.
