Louderbach


Louderbach is Berlin based producer Troy Pierce (AKA Slacknoise) and Los Angeles based vocalist Gibby Miller. Collaborating on music since meeting in New York in 2001, Miller recorded vocals for a handful of Pierce's tracks for such labels as Mo's Ferry and Minus before working together on the 3xLP Louderbach album Enemy Love throughout 2005 and 06. Prior to Enemy Love, Louderbach was solely Pierce's endeavor, releasing three 12 EP's on UK label Underline between 04 and 05. Louderbach's latest endeavor Autumn was released April 27th, 2009 on M-nus records. In a landscape of abundance we've walled our senses behind sugary convenience. With luxury a click away the growing emphasis on the sugar fix has slowly rotted our teeth. The rot has left us doing more with less, just a few incisors to do the job of a full mouth. With the bells and whistles stripped away we can appreciate the simplicity of motion and space working together. The simplicity of Louderbach embodies this relationship. The focus on the single line or simple structure is retraining the eye to see, teaching the ear to hear again. The bells and whistles of our saturated world have taken the focus off the direct, we've lost the beauty of simplicity; the depth of repetition. Despite the distractions of New York City, this epicenter magnetizes like minds regardless of their packages.
