Lvmen

Lvmen is a Czech post-metal/post-hardcore band formed in 1995 in Prague and largely known for being an influence on several bands in the present-day post-hardcore scene. Featuring teased keyboards, brutal riffs, screamed/sung vocals, virtuoso drumming and voice-sampled sequences from 60s movies (mostly from the films of the prominent Czech director František Vláčil, which became the band's trademark), theirs was a brilliant, inspiring output '..blending the heaviness of Neurosis, the rhythmic math-metal of Isis, the violence of Swans and the plaintive whispering of Slint's Spiderland'. (Pitchfork, 2010). They have released five studio albums and a compilation An Anthology of Previously Released Songs on Day After Records label. Contrary to popular belief, the band didn't officially split up after Dáda's death, but ceased most activity for a long period, until the recording and release of Mitgefangen Mitgehangen in 2017, also resuming it's concert activity. Last known lineup included: Dáda - vocal, guitar Husar - vocal, samples Mirda - guitar Hulo - bass guitar Melnick - drums http://www.myspace.com/LVMEN Read more on Last.fm.
