Durim Morina (born October 17, 1994, in Los Angeles, California, United States), known professionally as MIRUD, is an American singer-songwriter. He is of Albanian heritage and began gaining recognition through online music releases and performances. MIRUD later expanded his career internationally, releasing music across multiple genres and languages and participating in major music festivals and competitions in Europe and Latin America. He participated in Viña del Mar International Song Festival in 2019, and in several editions of Festivali i Këngës. Early life and background: Durim Morina was born in Los Angeles, California to parents of Albanian descent. He started his musical career after graduating in opera studies at Julliard School in New York. His early involvement with music, including vocal training, has been mentioned in Albanian media reports. He reportedly sings in eight languages which include Albanian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Turkish, Persian and Arabic. Career: Morina began releasing original music in the late 2010s.
