MacKeel turned clubs into kitchen parties and festivals into ceilidhs. They've brought new life to the proud heritage of East Coast music with their pop edged, traditional Celtic sound, gaining a strong fan base wherever they went. From Pictou County, N.S., this young kilt- clad sextet delivered an instant celebration of remarkable music appealing to traditional music lovers with their bagpipes, fiddle, and tin whistle, not to mention their high energy show powered by drums, bass, and guitar. This sextet was made up of Glenn Gordon, on lead vocalist and acoustic guitar. Kevin Brennan contributes his talents on both electric and acoustic guitars, adding that on stage pure energy. Dane Grant wins any crowd over with his performance on the highland bagpipes and tin whistle. Randy MacDonald boasts of an experienced drummer adding those touches of the bodran drum. David Hoare can be heard strumming the deep chords of the bass guitar, adding the incredible depth to the overall sound MacKeel creates.
