Matshikos


The group was formed by Daniel Tshanda. Penwell Kunene and Joseph Tshimange were part of the original Matshikos. Their first album was "The Park Is Mine" in 1991 was a major sucess both locally and internationally. Their next album "Innocent Man" in 1992 was also a great success and was followed by "Victory" in 1993. The original Matshikos split up. Dan Tshanda discovered the talented Dan Mokoena and released "Uzozisola" by Dan Mokoena as a solo artist performing as Matshikos. During mid '96 Joseph Tshimange released the album, "Mthizman" as a solo artist. Dan Tshanda directed and produced this album for him. After the release of his album Joseph passed away under tragic curcumstances. Later that year Penwell "Mastermind" Kunene approached Dan Tshanda and they were happy to release the album "Who's Gonna Change This World". In 1991 Dan Tshanda formed a group called Matshikos that was led by his two backing vocalists Penwell Kunene and Joseph Tshimange releasing an album, The Park Is Mine. Read more on Last.fm.
