Mattak


Mattia Falcone, aka "Mattak", was born on 19 September 1994 in Lugano (Ticino) and is a Swiss Italian rapper. He is considered the most influential rapper today in Italian-speaking Switzerland, as well as one of the few who managed to make himself heard outside the Swiss territory. At the age of 10 he approaches rap music listening to Eminem, Ludacris and Fabri Fibra and at 15 he begins to freestyle, improvising rhymes with friends. In 2009 he began writing songs and in 2011, together with the rapper Funky Nano, he founded the crew "Poche Spanne", still active on both the Swiss and Italian scene. During 2013 the duo made itself known in Ticino by publishing the “Spanna-Ti” Mixtape, enjoying great success and starting to make their first concerts in Italian Switzerland. In the meantime, he joined the Ticino Project Mayhem collective, but abandoned it two years later. In 2014, Mattak won the online contest "Join the crew" launched by the Italian label Machete. Thanks to the winning of this contest, he is inserted with a song in the Machete Mixtape 3, allowing him to be known throughout Italy. At the beginning of 2015 he won the "Back to the skillz", the most important freestyle rap contest in Ticino. In 2016, together with Serpe, Caveman and eS production, he released the EP "Last Comes the Crow", collaborating on a track with the rapper Kyodo from Bologna.
